Demeisen

Av Demeisen, the avatar of the Culture ship "Falling Outside The Normal Moral Constraints". Well, my interpretation of the avatar at least.
I just finished reading the Surface Detail and I'm just excited to read the earlier Iain Banks Culture books too now!

Of all the characters int he book I really really enjoyed reading about the said Abominator class picket ships tale. The character is pure awesomeness and well written!

Anyways, in the quick sketch I made I tried to get that feeling of the second time (wait, third afterall I think!) the ships avatar and Lededje met. Slightly Sichultian, slightly alien looks were what I was trying to go after.

Just to quote one part of the book:
“I feel like I’m a f****ing space warrior,” she told the avatar.
“Well you’re not,” Demeisen said. “I am.” He flashed a smile.
